This high-quality print is produced by my good friend Martin at Atelier Sturgess. He carefully photographs my original painting and prints it onto German etching paper with such precision that it is often hard to tell it apart from the original watercolour.
Tooting Bec Lido has provided countless wonderful shared experiences, many of which I love to capture in my paintings. I often choose to flatten the picture plane, a technique that allows me to control the narrative and bring order to my work. This striking oblong of turquoise has been—and continues to be—a true lifesaver.
